Now it even features a cinema right in the heart of 6th St. you wont find the latest movies there but you will find a piece of the Austin indie style thrown into the mix. 6th St. is not simply just a street it is an experience that cannot be explained or understood until you spend a night there, walking down it half sober, and trying to figure out what your going to do next. Forget the capital! 6th St. is the heart of the Austin culture that best explains the typical Austin mentality. 6th St. is "keep Austin Weird" at it's finest. It is probably the only place in the world where you can see a homeless man walking around in a thong, gay people walking down the street holding hands, cars covered with bumper stickers and think nothing of it.
