The Parties!
While SXSW is a party in itself the big fun and party of SXSW is all the day parties that are offered along with all the countless house parties. Normally during SXSW you will see parties sprung out of nowhere, not just along 6th St. but also in areas in Austin that would normally be music free such as train stations, bus stations and parking lots. We will bring you the latest info here on the best parties that spring up in and around Austin. We will provide you with several options to keep you entertained to the fullest so that you can know exactly where your going and what to expect when you get there. Now you can party smarter.
The 8088 Record Collective & SXSWCrazy.com Showcase!
It will be featuring a lot of great bands from all over the place at one of my favorite dance venues, Plush. So put this in your calendars since this show is going to be a blast.
This party is going to have some great live music featuring, like dogs, and Sleep Today among many other.
The Bar Area Takeover Showcase will feature some of the best independent music from the San Francisco Bay Area. The event will feature fourteen Bay Area bands, known in the indie world as some of the hottest up-and-coming and under the radar groups.
This is an event I personally will be attending since it will be featuring one of my favorite indie bands, Scissors For Lefty.
dLay Artist Management/Canon Records Showcase
Wow that's a long party name. Anyway, this party will feature music from both Canon Records & dLay Music as their main showcase. This party is currently looking for more sponsorships so if you are interested in sponsoring a SXSW party, this might be a unique opportunity for you.
This party will feature bands such as, Phonograph and Goldcure.
Not to sure what to make of this party except that it has a very good line up. I could not find more about Sergent House. I am not sure if they are a record company, producers or what. If you know what the deal is please let me know at Hugo@sxswcrazy.com
It will include lots of good bands including one of my favorites, Russian Circles.
